Haunted hikes return to Mercer Slough this weekend, next

Haunted Hikes at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue are back for another scary Halloween activity.

The spooky nighttime hikes are for children and their families to explore how the nocturnal side lives by visiting various stations along hiking trails. Hourly night hikes are offered the weekend before Halloweenalong with hikes on Halloween and the night after.

Hikes will be at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Oct 24 - Oct 26 and Oct 31-Nov. 1.

Admission is $8 for children and $10 for

adults and the event is geared toward children ages 5-8. Children over age two are charged the child rate. Children under the age of two are discouraged from attending due to the nature of the program. Strollers

are not allowed on the trails.

The Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center is at 1625 118th Ave. S.E. in Bellevue.
